POKER RULES & VARIATIONS
Online Poker has several popular variations with the most popular being Texas Hold 'em - 'The Cadillac of Poker'. Other popular online poker variations include Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 5-card Stud poker and 7-card Stud poker.
An outline of the rules of Texas Holdem and Omaha is shown below:
*) Texas Holdem - Texas Holdem is the most popular online poker game and the easiest for beginners to learn and master.
*) Omaha - This is more difficult to master for beginners, but is very popular.

Basic Rules
- The winning player is the player who makes the best 5-card hand out of their 2 cards and the dealers 5 cards.
- 4 rounds of betting.
Order of Play
- Each player receives 2 cards face down.
- Each player Folds, Bets or Raises on the strength of their hands.
- The dealer deals 3 cards face up (the flop).
- Each player Folds, Bets or Raises on the strength of their hands.
- The dealer deals the 4th card (the turn).
- Each player Folds, Bets or Raises on the strength of their hands.
- The dealer deals the final 5th card (the river).
- Each player Folds, Bets or Raises on the strength of their hands.
- The player with the best hand wins the pot.

Playing Omaha is a lot different to Texas Holdem and many Holdem players are caught out.
Basic Rules
- The winning player is the player who makes the best 5-card hand out of exactly 2 of their 4 cards and 3 of the dealers 5 community cards.
- Each player receives 4 cards.
- Dealer lays down 5 community cards.
Order of Play
- Each player receives 4 cards face down.
- The dealer deals 3 cards face up (the flop).
- Each player Folds, Bets or Raises.
- The dealer deals 1 more card (the turn).
- Each player Folds, Bets or Raises.
- The dealer deals a final card (the river).
- Each player Folds, Bets or Raises.
- The player with the best hand wins the pot.
